Free As We Are

Free as we are to choose between

Life and death, curse and blessing

Let us not fail to consider.

God who gave us free will

Also conveyed His Fatherly advice

So we will make the right decision.

Free as we are to enjoy our youth

And follow our hearts’ desires

Let each one never forget:

For every single thing we do

We will have to give an account

To God, the ultimate Judge.

Free as we are to speak our minds

To ask question and seek answers

Let one and all remember:

We are as clay; God, our potter

Who are we to talk back to Him

And go against His sovereignty?

For, we were freed through Jesus’ blood

For the bondage of sin and curse

That we may be bound by righteousness

Submissive to God until the end

Then, we will live as citizens of heaven

Free from all sorrows, pain, and death.
